Why Not Mitt - Part 2
Once again, in answer to the question of why Romney did not get the NRLC endorsement. It is one thing to have Romney Care include abortions, but this picture seems to be quite significant in pegging down his position on abortion--at least 5 years ago.
Yeah...that one's pretty ugly...but keep in mind that he's not denying that it was his position at the time, he's just changing his mind...so it does serve as a good reminder, but not a shocker.
beau: my point is that some in the Romney camp seem insulted that Fred got the endorsement of the NRLC over Mitt. His "old" position--otherwise known as his record--really makes it difficult for anyone to expect him to get ANY of these endorsements.
The question that I have for a Romney candidate is what made him change his mind? The obvious answer is that he is running for a different office now.
NOTE: I will support Romney if he wins the nomination, but things like this make him a very weak candidate.

Fair enough...I understand the endorsement, and even though I'm leaning Romney, Fred was probably the better choice for that one.
